Flybig launches Hyd-Gondia-Indore flight

Hyderabad: Flybig, India's newest scheduled commuter airline, has launched Indore-Gondia-Hyderabad flight, Pradeep Panicker, Chief Executive Officer at GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd flagged of the flight from Hyderabad to Gondia on Monday early morning.
It was flagged off virtually by Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Jyotiraditya Scindia, who was the chief guest for the flight inaugural from Indore to Gondia. The launch at Indore happened with the water canon salute to the incoming flight. Water canon salute was also given at Gondia.
After the flight reached Hyderabad from Gondia, the flight from here was flagged off early in the morning on Monday.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan; flybig CMD Sanjay Mandavia and several dignitaries representing the Government and the aviation Industry were present.
Scindia expressed his delight that clean city Indore is progressing and that air traffic movement in the city has increased by 50 per cent. He also congratulated Flybig on fulfilling PM Modi's vision of Udan in connecting India's hinterland and small cities, and added that the aviation industry plays an important role in the nation's economic development.
He said that air routes connecting small towns will attract investments and promote religious tourism in Madhya Pradesh.
On the occasion of the launch and flag-off, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, congratulated flybig.
Sanjay Mandavia, Flybig CMD while thanking the minister, said that the Modi's UDAN Scheme has the potential to bring prosperity and development to our country, as well as connect our country's inaccessible geographies.
